The Gower peninsula
Part of Swansea, the home of Dylan Thomas, nowhere better encapsulates the beauty and mystery of Wales than the Gower Peninsula. Britain's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has a landscape of ancient woodland, rich, green pastures, dramatic marshland and 40 miles of golden, breath-taking coastline. Often referred to as Wales' best kept secret, Gower is also rich in culture and history with countless caves and castles, ancient burial sites and the relics of tales of smugglers and kings. It is probably not surprising to discover than our visitors return to Gower from all over the world, year after year.
The Gower Peninsula is also a area of special scientific interest because of the diverse flora and fauna to the area. Home to some of the UK's most beautiful beaches, woodland, and iconic green agricultural land, the scenery is nothing short of spectacular.
