Stouthall school of witchcraft and wizardry
NOW EXTENDED TO NOVEMBER 2nd BY POPULAR DEMAND
Here at Carreg Adventure, Halloween is our most exciting time of year. Over Halloween weekend Stouthall transforms into the Stouthall School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Our experience days are for all budding witches and wizards to learn the fundamentals of magic and the wizarding world.
The day begins with drop off between 9am and 9:30am with a brief opportunity for parents to take pictures of their little witches and wizards in the house.
Then its on to house sorting in Great Hall. Stouthall has it's own four houses so sorting starts with the story of those houses from our headmistress, Professor C Powell.
Once the students have settled into their groups we discover if they have magical potential by being chosen by a wand. This can be a bit of a nail-biter!
Then its on to classes. There will be two classes before returning to the Great Hall for a banqueting feast, followed by another two classes in the afternoon.
Classes will be as follows:
Defensive Spells and Wand skills
Learn the basic wand skills and spells necessary to protect yourself through a number of lively games and activities
Wizarding Sports
Learn the fundamentals of the sports of the wizarding world with a match or two
Herbology
Learn the properties of various plants and combine them to make your own spell to take home.
Potions
The more intricate (and messy!) art of potion making is a fundamental of magic. Cauldrons required.
Classes finish at 5:30pm when parents return in time for a graduation celebration. Food and drink will be on sale while the disco gets into full swing. One at a time, each child and their family will be invited into the office of the Headmistress to receive their official graduation scroll.
